A friend from work is slowly losing her battle with cancer. I first met her nearly 7 years ago as she was finishing her first round of treatment for breast cancer. One week short of 5 years later she was diagnosed with cancer in her other breast. Since then it has spread to the nerve causing her severe hip pain, her kidneys, and the latest, her liver.
She was at work last week and I helped her pick out wedding dresses online. Thursday she wasn't doing well and another co-worker suggested she go back to her doctor. She's tried every type of chemo out there and this last one finally stopped working.
She started in-home hospice care today, the day she finally got married (much earlier than they had originally planned). I'm not sure how much longer she'll make it.
She was always so positive. No matter what she was going through. No one deserves this.

It is such an awful thing... cancer. My thoughts & prayers are with her and and her brave new husband too.
I can't even imagine the pain and anguish she and her loved ones must be going through. I know I would be devastated if someone I love had to go through that.
