A Job I Don't Covet...

We have a "district technology applications facilitator". Basically she's the go-to person for all of the technology teachers in the district. She manages teachers from 22 elementaries, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools and our new CTE (Career and Technologies Education) center. This summer they switched the Mac stuff onto a completely new server with a new way to login, new rights (or in the teachers' cases, no rights) to do/not do things on setting stuff up (which of course isn't working like it's supposed to) and today she found out (along with the technology teachers in our building and another building) that the PC teachers will all be kicked out of their labs for 2 weeks at a time 3 times this school year. She's supposed to work with these teachers (who also just found out today) what in the world they're supposed to do during this time. There aren't any other rooms for them to go to during this time and it's really hard to teach Computer Lit, Robotics, Digital Animation, Multimedia, Keyboarding and Career Investigation without computers. It's a huge headache.... and again, this is on top of opening the CTE center, 2 middle schools and 2 (i think) elementaries this year... she's not sleeping... I feel so sorry for her... All I could do when I saw her this afternoon was give her a hug. She definitely needs it... she was on her way to cuss out her boss for not telling her about this before she found out about the PC lab/teachers through the grapevine today...
